WAIRARAPA
Eketahuna
Experience the best in New Zealand country golf
Eketahuna Golf Club is an 18 hole Golf Course, set along the banks of the picturesque Makakahi River.  It is well established, with many attractive features, including spectacular cliffs and lovely tree lined fairways.
The Eketahuna Golf Club celebrated its centenial year in 2010. Also known as the Makakahi Course, golf has been played in Eketahuna since 1910. Back then you would not be seen dead on the course without wearing your knicker-bockers or plus fours. Even the ladies had to adhere to a strict dress code.

Today we are a bit more lenient. We take the view that you want to play golf and enjoy your surroundings, not dress up. So come and visit us, you will be glad you did.

Sunday, starting at 12 noon is club day for all Members (visitors welcome) and starting at 10.00am on a Tuesday is Ladies Day. Twilight golf runs through the summer months each Wednesday evening starting at 5pm. We also have a full calender of events, including a Pro Am every January in conjunction with Masterton Golf Club.

The course is an easy walk with just a few short uphill walks to some elevated tees. The "Cliffs" form the back drop to teeing off on hole number two, ten, and eleven and the area around the 14th Hole is one of the most picturesque on the course.
The Sheep Track
The Sheep Track is for those who have only a short time to visit but would like to play golf and see our most picturesque holes.
Starting on hole twelve (12) it consists of seven (7) holes and can be played in around 60 - 90 minutes The route is holes 12,13, 14, 18, 1, 10 and 11.

Green fees remain the same at $25 regardless of how many holes you wish to play. Your honesty is really appreciated in this regard.
