WELLINGTON CITY
Karori
Karori Golf Club is located close to the city but in an idyllic country setting.
With native bush on the neighbouring hills and much of the course boundary gives Karori a location that is typically rural New Zealand.
A 12 minute drive from the Karori town centre, the Karori course is set in an idyllic country location surrounded by native bush clad hills where the only sounds you will hear are birds and farm animals.

On a superb layout that winds around the valley the course is set in, the fairways are tree lined and well defined, with two stony streams that meander across or beside all but four holes.
The course rewards accuracy off the tee, with several holes playing to elevated greens making otherwise straightforward approaches more challenging. The design was heavily influenced by the architect's other project at the time, Wairakei International, obvious in the nice definition and use of the rolling country side.

Karori Golf Club also has a nine hole Pitch and Putt course suitable for all ages and generally no booking is required - just check in at the clubhouse and our staff will provide you with gear should you need.
